No. The free plan requires only an email address. You can manage up to 2 hosts and 10 keys without entering payment information. Upgrade any time from the billing portal.
Existing hosts and keys continue to sync normally. You will not be able to add new hosts or keys beyond your plan limit until you upgrade. No data is ever deleted.
Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately with prorated charges. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing cycle. You can manage your subscription from the billing portal at any time.
The sync interval determines how quickly key changes propagate to your hosts. A 15-second interval on Enterprise means a revoked key is removed from all hosts within 15 seconds. For the free plan at 5 minutes, there is a maximum 5-minute window. All plans enforce atomic writes and drift detection regardless of interval.
Never. When you generate a key pair, the private key is delivered to you once and immediately discarded. Lockwave only stores the public key. This is a core security invariant that applies to all plans.
